2007 marks the Washington Sailing Marina’s 41th year of offering its Learn to Sail programs to the Washington Metropolitan area.  With our 41 years of experience we have taught thousands of students of all ages the life long skill of sailing.

Our Mission

Create a safe, fun environment where students of all ages can share the wind and learn the art of sailing.

About Us

                We offer weekday and weekend basic, basic advanced and keelboat classes for ages 16 and up, as well as our ever-popular youth day sailing camps.  All of our instructors are expert sailors and are skilled at helping students gain enthusiasm and confidence.  Many instructors are US Sailing Certified and are uniquely qualified in communicating their skills to you and/or your child, as each has had extensive teaching experience.

                We believe in hands-on instruction with  the majority of class time spent on the water.  The Washington Sailing Marina Learn to Sail program is open to and welcomes everyone.  Our mission is to promote sailing and provide affordable Learn to Sail programs for both youth and adults.  Our goals: to turn an inexperienced beginner into a self -confident sailor with a fundamental knowledge of sailing;
